Hello!
How would I go about adding Google Adsense code to my skin so it displays in the content area with the text wrapped around it? I want to use a large rectangle that is aligned to the right of the first few paragraphs of the content. Here's an example of what I want: http://www.colorsontheweb.com/colorsontheweb.asp

I have added leaderboards and skyscrapers to my skin with no problem, but those are off to the top and side so they don't really interact with the content at all.

I have tried adding the code inside the ContentPane div in the container, and while that does display the ad, it does not display correctly. I put the ad in a div that is floated to the right, but since DNN insert some other code around the text, it will just push the whole text down below the ad instead of wrapping around it.

I know I can paste the code into the HTML module when I enter the content, but I don't want to have to resort to that. Since my site has a lot of pages I want it to be added through the skin. Also, the person maintaining the site is a non-coder and this will just add some extra confusion.

Thanks!

Donald, you need to edit the skin file itself (not the content). Depending on the skin, it will be an html file or an ascx file (the ascx file is just a processed html file). If your site doesn't have any html files in the skin, then you will have to alter the ascx and not the html file (again, this depends on the skin). These files are going to be located in 1 of 2 places, either Portals/_default/Skins/NAMEHERE or Portals/[PORTALID]/Skins/NAMEHERE.

Chris, thank you for the reply. I'm sorry I wasn't very clear - I am already working in the skin files. I was looking for a way to get the content added in a ContentPane (with an HTML module) to wrap around the adsense that I added in the skin ascx file.

You can drop a text/html module on the page, paste any content into it (you should avoid any script tags, edit the module settings and put script tags in the module header area (in advanced settings, i think). You can then edit the module settings and display module on all pages.

(Personally, I think the skin is a better way of doing this).

Thank again. It turns out it was an issue with the container I was using. I had a float:left on the .Normal for the container, and for some reason that messed things up. Once I removed that, it works fine to add the AdSense code directly before the content pane in the container ascx file.
