Wonder if you can help me whit this one!?

I downloaded the new DNN6.0 source code from DotNetNuke site... installed it... set up sql and got the local dnn site  up and it works gr8.

Im not seeing any project files in the source code with dnn6.0

With the prev. Version i could simply open the project file and add a new usercontrol and stars codeing.

How would i create a module in VS2010?

FWIW I would strongly suggest NOT building modules against the source code build.

Now having said that - when you say you downloaded the source code from dnn - exactly which version did you download.

The Source Code package version cannot actually be installed and run as a local site without first loading the source code solution into VS2010 an running a compile in release mode.

At a guess you are possibly looking at the Install.zip package not the Source.zip package.

Hi Wes

i double checked what i downloaded ... it was the install and not the source

i have now opend the .sln file and renamed the release.confid to web.config and then i could "install"/setup the database. and all looks good.

what you said by NOT building modules against the source code build??

my Q now is how would i create a module in VS2010

thx Heinrich
