I'm testing an upgrade to DNN 6 for our internal Intranet that was running DNN 05.06.03 (45) and using the XD5013Worx skin from dnnskins.com.  That is a free skin designed for DNN 5 that I downloaded on 7-29-2009 and have been using ever since.  It works great with DNN5, but once I did the upgrade to DNN6 everything went wonky on the layout etc.  I tried setting it to the Dark Knight skin/container using both the Admin and Host skin/container controls, but it isn't working.  I also tried the Restore Default Skin link on the Admin..Skins panel but it doesn't work.  Is there some other 'magic button' that I can press to reset it to the same setup as a blank new install?

So far all of the options I can find either don't work, or I can't figure out the right combination of settings.  For example, what should I put in the Host Settings page for "Host Skin", "Host Container", "Edit Skin", and "Edit Container" to reset back to the full Dark Knight skin???

Hi - I am looking at the skins at the moment - I know what you're talking about - try changing the container in the default settings.

It may take us a couple of weeks to get these skins upgraded to DNN 6, as we are using the most popular downloads and working down the list to get them upgraded.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

What you can do is follow my instructions on broken skins. I have to adjust that download for dnn 6 skins and will do so now.

Thanks for the reply, it's good to see you'll be updating the theme, I wasn't looking forward to changing if i didn't have to.  I would like to check out the new default though, I may like it better ;-), but either way I need to get the site working after the upgrade.

That said, I tried to follow your link and download the file but it is not longer available.  Do you have an updated version?

Also, is that the only way to go back to the full default skin (Dark Knight I think)?  Is there no simple "default skin" button that actually WORKS?

You can force a page to load with the Dark Night skin using the following in your url:

?SkinSrc=[G]Skins/DarkKnight/Home-Standard-Menu&ContainerSrc=[G]Containers/DarkKnight/SubTitle_Grey

This will work for any installed skin/container.  It's the same url used whenever you "preview" a skin in the settings.
