When I click the login link in DNN 6 I get a popup with the login module. Sometimes when I login it processes the credentials but then nothing happens. If I manually then close the popup window it refreshes the page and I am logged in. Is there a reason why sometimes it automatically closes and refreshes the page and sometimes I have to do it manually?

I don't think this is the same issue. I turned off popups and still have issues.

If I use the standard login without popups nothing happens after the login. The ajax progress indicator stops but the site doesn't redirect with the Admin / Host menus available. If I click on a link on the site it then redirects and I see the control panel. I see similar things when trying to udpate content like an html module. I can save the module and the ajax progress indicator never stops turning. This happens with and without popups enabled. But I can click on a site link and then it redirects. I can go back to the page I was editing and the changes did save, even though the ajax spinner never stopped.

Honestly when I originally had popups enabled the modules would save as expected but sometimes the popup didn't close. I could close it and see the changes. Then I turned off popups and now the ajax spinner never stops when I save a module. I tried to turn popups back on and now it doesn't work correctly in that mode either.

Does anyone else have issues like this?

I created this scenario several times and then went straight to the Event Viewer and there were no errors found.
