Hi,

i'm using dotnetnuke v.04.08.02, and when i try to upload a file using the file manager, i recive this error:

D: \ home \ dotnetnukecom \ dotnetnuke.com \ Portals \ 62 \ AP0041.txt. Please contact your hosting provider to ensure that the appropriate security settings are enabled on the server.

I thought that this error was related with lack of permissions, and i added the user "everyone" to all folders and the problem remains.

can you help me please?

it's urgent.

kind regards,

can you post the full error message please -there are 2 exceptions that can be thrown that contain the text 'contact your hosting provider to ensure that the appropriate security settings are enabled on the server.'

The only message that i've recived is this:

An error occurred while trying to save the file D:\home\dotnetnukecom\dotnetnuke.com\Portals\_default\test.txt.
Please contact your hosting provider to ensure that the appropriate security settings are enabled on the server.

no log is saved with a error message.

thanks -it was the "An error occurred" part that allowed me to disinguish which issue it was. That exception is thrown for windows permissions reasons (the actual check has the comment "save error - can happen if the security settings are incorrect on the disk"). Please check that your web user has the necessary permissions (modify permissions) http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/WindowsPermissions.aspx
