Hello,

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

I have recently taken up a University project where I need to create an online learning tool. I am not extremely familiar with DNN but have done a fair bit of research.

I was wondering if there was any way which I could use ASP or PHP within a module. There is a section to edit the Source Code but when I try to add ASP or PHP in there, it is not displayed. How can I do this?

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Regards

You can't use classic asp or php. Depending on the control you need to either use VB.net or C#.  Look at the very top of the control - the page directive should hold the key.

DotNetNuke uses asp.net so you use vb.net or c# when writing code - as an alternative to the "edit source code" option you could use the razor module and enter razor code instead (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Razor.aspx)

I thought they may be the case (unfortunately). On the other hand, without using Server Side Languages, is there any way to query the MSSQL database to output results?
