Hello.

I will be interested to read any experiences on running DNN 6 on shared hosting accounts. Especially comparing it with version 5.

Thanks

Hello,
I am interested in the same matter. I have not found acceptable shared hosting for dnn.

Maybe DNN could do with a cut down version which is fast in in a shared hosting.

How does it perform version 6?

Regards

I actually just posted a blog about this a few minutes ago both here on DotNetNuke.com and my personal blog.

I'm seeing, that properly configured DotNetNuke 6.x is faster than 5.x, you just have to be sure to configure it properly for your hosting environment.  Also the selection of a reputable hosting provider is key.

For me, DNN 6 is slower than 5.6.3 but somehow smoother. But since my plan is on shared hosting, i really can't be sure about it.

Hi Costas,

I have just posted up about my problems with DNN 6 on shared hosting, namely that it runs a lot slower when logged in as Host or Admin than DNN 5.

Full post here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/198/threadid/434934/scope/posts.aspx

This impacts on how quickly I can make changes to sites.

Hoping for some PDQ resolution. I will check out Mitchell's post.
