After upgrading to v6.0, I added a the blog module, which seemed to work, however when I try to add and individual part for example the blog_tag I get this error:

A critical error has occurred. Method not found: 'DotNetNuke.Security.Permissions.TabPermissionCollection DotNetNuke.Security.Permissions.TabPermissionController.GetTabPermissionsCollectionByTabID(Int32, Int32)'.

any ideas?

Which version of the Blog module are you using? Did you upgrade to Blog 4.1.1 from Install Available Extensions in DNN6? Adding the Blog module should also install the various other modules or did you delete them and you are trying to add them back in?

OK, try restoring the deleted module(s) from the Admin > Recycle Bin and see if that works.
