I am trying to install DotNetNuke6 as a fresh install on my test server. I have had previous version running perfectly on the same machien. I deleted the previous database (using SQL 2005) and emptied he root dir where all files including the web.cofig file is located. Then I extracted from the install zip file all teh files into the same root directory to keep the file and directory permissions as it was since they are correct. I started the setup in IE and got to the point where it started to install DotNetNuke, after a short while it gives me the following error:Server Error in '/' Application.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thread was being aborted. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. First point of call would be to check that you unblocked the install.zip file when you downloaded it - right click on the file and select Properties - if you are running win 7 - downloaded zip files are marked as BLOCKED automatically - which means when you come to unpack them - potentially dangerous files are not unpacked - and by potentially dangerous - I mean simple things like core dll files.
Just unblock the file and it will unpack properly.

I have checked that, but no unlock button at all and the file extracted fine.

Please make sure that your IIS web site is running in an App Pool with proper .Net version used - either .Net 3.5 SP1 (shows up as .Net 2, but please ensure, the porper version is installed on the machine) or .Net 4.0 (preferable)

My .net version is: 2.0.20727 which is .net 3.5 SP1. I prefer nor using .net4 as it break my other websites running on the live server.
