please give more details i.e. the error message. Also log in as your admin/host and go to the log viewer, it may give you more information.

I'm having a similar issue.  Trying to upload and install the latest Forums module (or any module for that matter).

I select the file, click add.  Then Upload.  It goes back to the module definition page, nothing was installed or uploaded.  Nothing in the log.  I'm stumped.

EDIT:  I just wanted to add that I've tried the following "fixes", but to no avail:
1. Clear browser and server cache
2. Re-upload web.config
3. set maxRequestLength="2097151" requestLengthDiskThreshold="2097151"
4. FTP module zip file to dnn/install/module, and run /dnn/install/install.aspx?mode=installresources, I get this error:
Message: System.Exception: Unhandled Error: ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.Configuration.GetConfig() at DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule.OnAuthenticateRequest(Object s, EventArgs e) at System.Web.HttpApplication.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I am also seeing this problem with all modules, skins and containers. Is there a backdoor method to ftp modules up?

There are no error logs created, the file appears to transfer ok then do nothing but return to the modules, skins or container screen.

It happens every time and I can give access if required.
