My installation of DNN is restarting pretty much constantly. My hosting provider said its because the app is hitting the 175 MB application pool limit.

Any ideas why DNN would be using that much memory, thus forcing it to restart constantly?

I did some research, and here was the problem:

I had <system.web> wrapped in <location></location> tags to allow me to run another application.

I had my hosting provider set permissions this morning so I could install modules. When they changed those permissions, DNN was writing to the web.config file each time someone hit the site. This caused us to hit the memory ceiling and thus restarted the application.

I removed the <location> tags and will be doing some reorganizing of my apps.

I Have the same problem. Brand new 5.6.3 install is restarting every minute or less. I don't have <location> in my web.config.

What else might cause the application to constantly restart?

Thanks

Rich
