For the past few months I have been using a customer authentication provider and had all other(OpenId, LiveId and default) diabled. I upgraded to DNN 6.0 and there were no problems. I have been using the site for weeks now without a problem. Today I go to log in and my custom authentication is no longer used only the default authentication. Even when I check to disable the default and enable my custom provider it still will only use the default provider.

Anybody got any ideas as to what could cause this?

Thanks
Paul

AFAIK you need to have at least one auth provider enabled, did you order your changes to make sure, this happens?

As I said, my custom authentication has been working fine for weeks. I did nothing. I changed nothing. I just opened my site this morning and when I clicked on the login link it took me to the default authentication login screen. I went in and checked and it shows my custom authentication enabled and the default disabled. I even went to debug the project and when I attach to the process all the pdb files load and the breakpoints light up but when I click on anything it won't step through becuase its the default being used not the custom one.

Well I was able to fix this by installing an older version of the custom authentication, so I asume that somehow it got corrupted and when I reverted back to an older version it fixed it. The lastest version was a week old but was working fine yesterday so maybe I unknowinglychanged something.

As always thanks for taking the time

Paul
