The problem is occurring on our test server (WS2003 SP1 IIS 6 .NET 4.0) when I upgrade a copy of our live site from DNN 5.6.1 to DNN 6.0, I am able to load the File Manager but when I click on Portal Root to expand the sub folders there is no response from the server and the Ajax updating control just spins.

I have tested this in FF, IE & GC with the same results, however, when I tested in Opera the TreeView menu worked.

I am thinking this is a JavaScript and/or Skin issue but am not sure.

Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?

Thanks!

There is a known issue with the Whitespace filter and the file manager in dnn600.
Check that the whitespace filter is turned OFF in the Host Settings menu

Thanks Westa!

I actually haven't been using Whitespace filter for almost a couple of years now since there were problems with it in prior versions of DNN (don't recall which, it's been a while).

I actually just got it working by going to Host Settings > Advanced > jQuery Settings and then Enable the "Use jQuery Debug Version" then click Update and test the File Manager.

Once I verify that it is working I go back to Host Settings and disable the debug mode and my File Manager continues to work, at least for this afternoon, we'll see tomorrow. :D

Anyone have more insight to this? More input is welcome!

Thanks again!

Josh

Hi, I had same problem and it is not only for DNN 6, I had it from version 5 also, I clicked on the "Portal Root" in File manager but nothing was happening, after I tried above solution, I tried to create a temp folder, and after that I saw the other folders showing.
Then it didnt completely solved but whenever I want to see thoese folders, I create a temp folder, then I remove it!

Pouria
