HI all

i am also have the same issue

portals skin does not changing from admin and host setting while i am changing from there whole site default skin is changing

please help

your assistance is really appreciated.

I'm not clear on what you are referring to. If you change the Admin Site Settings page (default skin) it will change every page of your website that isn't using a custom skin (page setting).

i just wanted to say that from admin skin i have apply one inside skin as default which is applied to all as defaults

to all inside pages admin,host and all but i want to change the just admin and host skin as something diffrent so  from admin->sitesetting->Appearance->Portal Skin and Edit Skin

so when i am changing portal and skin for Admin same as for host so all default skin is changing of sub pages

please help

your assistance is appreciated.

DNN has 2 kinds of skins

PORTAL level skins and HOST level skins.

The concept of an ADMIN level skin is not really supported by the current DNN platform.

What used to be called an ADMIN skin is now really a EDIT skin - which is ONLY used on pages that area called with a mid or ctl parameter as part of the url - this is done so that such skins can work based on the concept that the ctl/mid parameter cause all other modules on the current page to be hidden - allow the selected module to be shown full page on its own.

As for the concept of HOST level skins - they too are kinda a bit irrelevant to most people these days.  The idea is that they are used to show pages on the host menu - but really most people just dont need them.
