You can found the Install Guide and the Templating Guide at Codeplex with the last Store version 3.0. There is no more documentation but all settings have online help (click on the question mark). If you need more help, ask here! :-)

You don't have to deal with the database, if you are able to install a module then everything is created in the install process.
