Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but I have been looking all over for the answer with no success. I am probably searching for the wrong phases.

I have included a link to an image to show how the icons on the toolbar are displaying. They are cascading down the page.

Why does is happen and is there a fix?

I am using IE8 and DNN 04.09.01

Peter, that appears to be an issue with the css sprites that the editor is using -i known IE8 had a bunch of problems with fckeditor but i dont recall this one. Id sugest upgrading to a more recent version (4.9.1 is quite old) to see it that resolves (even to 4.9.5). if you go beyond that you can use the telerik editor (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Modify-HTML-Editor-Provider.aspx ). One final thing to consider is installing http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/ (the fckeditor team retired it and replaced it with the ckeditor which this provider uses)

I will try these suggestions soon and let you know if they work.

Would it be easier to just upgrade the whole site or could that cause other complications?

it would be better to upgrade the site, but easier to try an alternative editor to see if that resolves.
