In troubleshooting an issue with an API call today, I came across the following page:

http://www.dotnetnukeru.com/dnndocs/a...

While it is great to find this documentation, I am surprised that there is no documentation on the purpose of each parameter, its acceptable values and so on.

Since this would seem to be essential information (rather than just guessing from the names of he parameters) I'm sincerely hoping that this is because I am looking in the wrong place. Is full API documentation available somewhere that documents the API to this extent?

Thanks

the latest API docs can always be found on the codeplex site e.g 6.0 can be found at http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/70103 .As for the API detail level, its pretty much a legacy of what the devs added over the years -as lots of code came from the community/core team and as there was no standard it's somewhat arbitrary. We (dnn corp) are trying to add more relevant documentation as we work on the files - as are the reference team, so over time this will get better.
