Hi All,

I just upgraded from DNN Community 5.06.02 to DNN Community 6.0, and then did an install of the DNN Professional 6.0 Trail over top of the community edition.

All went very well with no issues to our site.

However, in the professional features under the Host menu, I went to Enable Web Farm but the option is actually disabled and the checkbox cannot be checked.

Does anyone know if this is a configuration issue on our side or if it is simply that the Professional Trial edition doesn't support enabling the web farm?

Thanks...

This is not an option that you manage, it will enable itself based on the servers online using the dotnetnuke database. Fyi, the license is per server.

Per server..Ok. Well I have a server farm set up in IIS 7, and under the servers tab both of my web servers have been found, but this option still isn't enabled, should it be or would it kick in when enough traffic is detected?

I'm still somewhat confused. I've followed all the directions I can find to enable the web farm. I've scheduled tasks that should be scheduled, added the EnableWebFarmSupport tag to the web.config, and added in the machine keys as needed (both servers are using a shared UNC path for content).

However when I go to the schedule editor, I'm unable to specify a server for the task to run on, and the web farm enabled checkbox is still not checked. Does anyone have any ideas?

This question still applies in 2011.  No answers from anyone???
Can someone please explain how this checkbox works?  And when it is and is not enabled?
