I've created a sitemap-page for my website, and I want to define a link to it in my skin ascx-file.

So, I added the following code to the skin:
<a href="SitemapWebsite.aspx" class="sitemaplink">Sitemap</a>

This only works if you are at the root-level of the website. If your in a submenu, the link doesn't work. How can I fix this?

I've encountered the same problem in some content of the website, but in a HTML-module it's quite simple. When you enable ' Replace Tokens'  you can use the token Portal:URL to link to the root-level of the website. How can I enforce the same behaviour directly in editing the skin?!

Change the href to href="/SitemapWebsite.aspx"

The / at the front says it must start at the root of the site.  Your current says start where you are right now.

Thanks for your quick answer.
But the problem is somewhat more complex.
The website currently has a URL like www.root.com/dnn. If I change the sitemap-link to "/SitemapWebsite.aspx", then all links go to www.root.com/SitemapWebsite instead of the URL with "dnn" in it.

Obvious solution would be to add "dnn/" to the URL, but I want the solution to be generic, as I'm using this website as a template to create other websites.

Hi,

Shows the wisdom of asking the Q you actually want answering, not one that's just similar.

Try this...

href="//<%= PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias %>/SitemapWebsite.aspx"

Best wishes,
