I am using 5.6.2. I use a HTML module for my fat footer, applied to all pages. Now the footer is showing up in the site's search results hundreds of times, once for every page. I want to just exclude the module from the search altogether. I figured this would be a checkbox in the module settings, but no such luck.

I did a little searching in these forums and found this post: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/0/threadid/349930/scope/posts/threadpage/1.aspx  Cathal and Scott, did you ever bring it up to the DNN team for inclusion in the core? Does anyone know how I could accomplish this now?

I had a situation like this so I wrapped the fat footer (and also the menu which caused the same problem) with code that hid those items when viewed by a search robot.

If you'd like I could look up what I did ...
