Hi Greg,

Installation guide can be found here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Install_DotNetNuke.aspx .I think its clear enough except for SQL express. We don't have to setup dbs if using SQL express but this often leads to troubles.

When I install DNN with SQL express, I was confused by the connection failure until I found the solution which is rarely mentioned on the net. That is: In IIS under Vista/Windows 7/Server 2008, select the application pool and then "advanced settings." Under "process model" find "Load User Profile" and set it to true. If you meet with this problem, I think it may help.

I managed to do it on my own by attaching the DNN db to SQL Express server.
