Hi. A developer who is no longer with our company made quite a few custom changes to the DNN ActiveDirectory Authentication Provider in 5.1.4 which was then written in VB. Now in version 6.0.1, the AD Authentication Provider is written in C#. Is there any documentation I can get on the changes that were made to the AD Authentication Provider from version 5.1.4 to 6.0.1?
 
It looks like the method names have all changed in the C# version in 6.0.1 (at least in the AuthenticationController class) and I'm having trouble figuring out what the corresponding methods are from the VB version to the C# version in order to make these same custom changes in 6.0.1. I've been looking at the AuthenticationController class first, (although he changed some other files as well), in the AuthenticationController.vb file and trying to compare the changes he made there to the AuthenticationController.cs file. But it's like trying to compare apples to oranges. It would be very helpful to have some documentation that explains the mapping between the methods in VB (5.1.4) to the new methods in C# (6.0.1).

My goal here is to make the changes he made in the VB version that will provide the same auto-login using the groups from AD to the roles in DNN. And one other question concerning approach, should I just install the DNN ActiveDirectory Authentication Provider module from 6.0.1 and then modify these files rather than copying them from the source code in 6.0.1 as I try to follow what he did in 5.1.4? This is new to me.
