One other thing to check out, the Wiki http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

View is the default control, it is what is loaded when a module is placed on a page.
Settings typically configure properties used by the view
Edit allows you actually edit content.

For the task manager, right now the settings don't do anything, that'll be a future series of videos.

Hi Phil,

Forget about the links about the Scheduler, they are not related to the Task Manager module! I missed this video serie from Chris. :-(

If you can't suscribe to the training, the best way is to buy the book mentioned in my previous post. Everything is explained about the controls (View, Settings, Edit) and a lot more!

The View control is used to display information to your visitor and it's the only one control required. As Chris have explained the Settings is used to store your modules settings. While the Edit control is used to insert/change information to your tables.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
