I've always noticed strange behavior when it comes to the PHOTO profile property in DNN.  I've looked in the PropertyDefinitionID table across many DNN sites that I have running.  The releases range from 5.6.x through 6.0.1 and noticed that there are always two Photo definitions in the table.  Below are the PropertyDefinitionID table values in question, from one site where there is a total of 20 profile properties.

If anyone can shed some light on this, I would really apprectiate it.  Questions are why are there two definitions?, Why is ID number 39, with a view order of 42 visibile (and not 20 - which is the correct view order for the Property?

AFAIR, there's a kind of system definition with a Null value for PortalID which is used to create the definition dedicated to a portal when you create one.
You probably use only one portal on your instance with ID 0. That's why you only noticed 2 definitions for the Photo property.
Regarding the index 42, I don't know why it's 42 instead of 20 which seems more correct but I think it doesn't matter. You maybe could decrease it by ordering properties.
