Hi, Cathal,

I get the same error message just on a different line and when updating the host settings.

From IE

Message: 'length' is null or not an object
Line: 693
Char: 33
Code: 0
URI: http:/-/-/Resources/Shared/Scripts/jquery/jquery.js?1.6.1

From FireFox

can't convert undefined to object
[Break On This Error] return indexOf.call(array, elem);
jquery.js?1.6.1 (line 690)

I also had many issues with 6.0.1, but copied the install over my 6.0 install and so far so good, except this error on a few pages, including updating the host setting.

This was in my source before control panel:

Shouldn't it use 1.6.1 as defined in my host setting?

hmmmm, found another in the head:

type="text/javascript" src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js" >

How do I remove one above?

Hi Cathal

I looked at the source on the site admin page and found the following 2 duplicate js scripts with 2 different versions. I can't tell what is calling the 2. One looks like the control panel .

Thanks for the help

Reebo/Cathal,

Looking at the Default.aspx, there is a place holder for scripts in the head (where I found the newest version) and another placeholder for 'BodyScripts' in the body with the older version.

thats entirely normal, the 2 placeholders are there to allow dotnetnuke to inject scripts at different locations -the issue is that you have to identify what is injecting the scripts - i'd recommend downloading your site and doing a file/folder search for the script tag (e.g. in vs.net or via the windows dialog, though make sure it searches all filetypes - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/in-windows-7-i-want-to-search-for-all-files/aadfe1f1-4a33-406b-8e72-bb920efa4f30 ). There is a chance that it's injected via compiled source (e.g. a dll) so this may not show it up, in which case you're down to the needle-in-a-haystack mechanism of deleting modules/changing skins/containers until the error is resolved to identify the culprit.
