We are creating a site template ( not sure of the DNN terminology for this ) and we want to create multiple sites from this template, each site will have small variation from the template. However I need to know is there is a way, or a module that will allow me to update the content of those sites from a single location? I am planning on creating over 100 sites from that single template.... it will be a pain if I have to update each site manually.

Thank you for your comments.

portal templates (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Portal-templates.aspx) are used during site creation but are static i.e. they build the new site but do not refer back to their base template, so any changes to content have to be done within the sites - obviosuly you can code modules that refer to content cross-portal but this is not a default part of dotnetnuke (as portals are virtualised with their own users, roles and pages)

there are one or two, but as the architecture is designed to have seperate content/users/permissions it's not typical - many people simply use rss - however if you look at http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&biw=1600&bih=763&q=+site:dotnetnuke.com+dotnetnuke+content+sharing&sa=X&ei=Swb-TqH9DYag8gO-vOSlAQ&ved=0CEYQrQIwAA you'll find a few options

oh, I should say content sharing is something we're considering for a future release - but we're only at the feasibility/thinking about it stage
