i gotta calm down, so close to placing the mouse thru the monitor here...
I cannot change the content of my html/text modules. the editor will open and i can edit what i see in the editor but when i click the save button nothing happens! i have looked on the server for errors in the event viewer - nothing - .
please save my monitor from distruction and help me.

still cannot make changes to the content, logviewer shows what i have attached below. my monitor is still surviving after a few beers and some meditation but this may not last long.

in that case please check your web.config and ensure that the httpRuntime node has a requestValidationMode attribute and that it is set to 2.0 (see bold text below)

<httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" executionTimeout="12000" maxRequestLength="10092" requestLengthDiskThreshold="10092" requestValidationMode="2.0" />

This is required to work around a breaking change Microsoft introduced (http://www.asp.net/learn/whitepapers/...). DotNetNuke will do this automatically when it detects the site is running under .net 4.0 - however if the web.config is marked as read only or your permissions are not correct then we cannot update it automatically
