Hi,

just did a clean install of DNN 6.00.01 (301). no trouble installing, but pagesettings (on the page and through more settings in admin area) causes an error:

DesktopModules\Admin\Tabs\ManageTabs.ascx.cs(2): error CS1056: Unexpected character '਍'

any ideas?

 Am I the only one who has a problem with this after a clean 6.0.1 Install?
Little chance I think.

This guy has a similar problem. It seems the dotnetnuke employees themselves do not know the cause of this problem.

Looks like it.
I did some research/testing:

When I search in managetabs.ascx.cs for a tab sign (which is the sign I think) with regular expression \t  I found 2 locations at line 1640.
I removed those 2 and now I get  "error CS1024: Preprocessor directive expected" for managetabs.ascx.cs.
I'm on my own server (not Godaddy) BTW and its a clean install of 6.0.1

solved: it was the unzip proces of the install package....
