Hi,

I am doing changes for a website built in DNN. I login as administrator.

For some module, I can see the "edit content" menu.  But for other modules, there is none, and I can't edit those modules. Is this because I need to do some setting somewhere? Will someone please tell me how to solve this? Thanks.

There may not be one but Go here:

http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN4_ModuleDevelopersGuide/

Search for text "Edit Control"

That shows you how to add the control, just point to the code, if there is any. Typically it will be in the DesktopModules\MODULENAME folder.

Thank you,

Thanks for your help, James.

I go to module definition page, in Module controls section, click the "add module control" link to create a new control. The type is set to Edit. But the module still don't have the edit menu. Is it because I need to do some other configuration?

are you in Edit mode, when you are on the page - otherwise the control action menu is hidden. Besides, the skin or some module on the page may contain client code, which prevent the action menu to show up.
