I upgraded our web site at www.logicaloperators.com to DNN 6.0.1 about a week ago. Now the "Register" and "Login" links correctly bring up the expected modal dialog boxes, but on IE8 the fields are BADLY misaligned. The registration screen is so badly misaligned, it is barely usable. On Firefox 3.6.x, these screens look and work great.

I've also noticed that the title bar of the modal dialog disappears in IE8 when the mouse is moved over it, but remains visible and active in Firefox 3.6.x.

I've tried putting IE8 in "compatibility mode" for this site, but don't see a change in behavior.

Does anyone have any ideas to resolve this, or do I just need to wait for a future update?

Thanks in advance,
Warren

it's likely that it's related to the skin you're using that contains definitions in skin.css that override the core settings (i dont see an error logged on a fix roadmapped for 6.0.2 for this - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/project.aspx?Tab=Issues&SubTab=Issues&PROJID=2&m=1&version=562&closed=false ). I recommend trying it in firefox with the firebug plugin to identify the relevant style(s) being applied.

I've looked at the actual and computed CSS in Firebug, but it appears that it doesn't use any definitions from skin.css for the login dialog. Unfortunately(?), it displays as expected in Firefox, so even if something were being overridden incorrectly, I'm not sure it would show up in Firebug.

the styles should show up irregardless of the browser (as we dont use browser specific stylesheets) - is it a public URL , perhaps i can have a quick look at it.

Yes, it's a public URL - www.logicaloperators.com.

The styles show up - I just don't see anything specific to the skin being used for the login/registration popups. Of course, I will readily admit that I may not be looking at everything I should be.

I tested on a couple of customer PCs today - the popups look OK in Chrome v14 as well as in Firefox, but in IE7 and IE9 I get the same misaligned results as IE8.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
