it looks like a doctype issue, which is your default doctype in Host Settings?

Thanks Sebastian -
I had it on XHTML Strict
I switchted to XHTML Transitional... and it worked... for ONE user.
Now I'm trying to add roles to another user, and it does the same thing... with same error.
I tried toggling the DocType again and have tried all 3 available doctypes to no avail.  I even tried making the UserAccounts.aspx page use the default Dark Knight skin... still no luck.

hmm, strange.  I actually think the error may be unrelated to the User Accounts page.

I seem to get it on every page now after page load in the event log.

Is it a problem with my Skin?
I spent a lot of hours getting my skin to look right under XHTML! Doh....

does you skin name a (skinname).doctype.xml file? If so what contents does it have?
