DNN 5.6.3

How can I create my own registration page? In older versions of DNN, there used to me a module (User Account I think it was called), that you could add to a page, and then set that page to be the user registration page in site settings.

Then, if a user was not logged in, they would see the register form, and if they were logged in, they would see their profile manager.

In 5.6.3, there is no User Account module any more - only a View My Profile module, and an account login module.

I have created my own login page, added the account login module to that, activated ssl on that page, and I am good to go. If I click Register here however, I get taken to a page that is not secure with the registration form.

What I can't figure out is how to create my own registration page, that I can add a registration form to, secure via ssl, so that I have a secure registration page as well.

Please advise - this is quite urgent.

TIA :)

Sian,

I am not sure I completly understand what you are exactly asking for but, try this:

Go into the admin menu and choose Site Settings. Under there is a node called Advanced settings. There you can set your site's Registration and Login Pages. You can also set SSL below.

Thank you,

Hi James

No, that is not what I am talking about.

At present, I have a page called Account Login. On this page I have added teh account login module. I have also added other modules (text etc). I have then set the Login Page under Site Settings to be Account Login.

All good so far.

Here is where my problem comes in. When I access this page, and click the Register link (that is visible above "Forgot Password"), I get taken to a page that has no other modules on it but the registration form.

I want a page (lets say called User Registration) that I can set as my registration page, that I can have the registration form on, and also have other modules on (with additional instructions regarding registration, promotional offers etc etc ). In DNN 4.x you could do this by adding the User Account module - this is no longer the case in DNN5.x

So my question is where is the module that I can add to my customised registration page that will show the registration form? Does that make sense?

TIA :)
