I have a link to a page that is only accessible by registered users. When unauthenticated users click on the link, they are prompted for their password...but it places the login module directly on the page, using the home skin. I would much rather it appear in the new popup, just the same as if they had hit the Login link on the skin. Is there a way to adjust this behavior? I know about creating a specific Login page, but that isn't what I'm looking for in this case.

In the site settings under admin you can disable popups. It's under the Usability Settings section.

I am not looking to disable the popups. I want to it to use the popups. And, yes, that checkbox is checked.
