Hi

Running Events 5.2.0 on DNN 6.0.1.

I have a couple of issues with enabling the Set Event Detail Page Allowed setting.

Firstly, if I set a page on the site via the Page link type, when clicking the calendar link an error is displayed saying that the page cannot be found. Not a major problem as setting a page via the URL link type works fine. Is this a known problem or just me?

Secondly, obviously clicking the link now takes you away from the Event module, so how do you make any changes to the event (dates, title, etc) when a detail page is set? Or do you just have to be very careful?

TIA.

D'Oh! Ignore me regarding the second issue, just realised you can click the magnifying glass icon to edit the event details.

Hi,

Can you provide a link to the page with the error, and can you set up a dummy event with the problem, so I can investigate further. I've just tested with a beta build of 5.2.1 and I don't get the problem. I'll just go through and test on 5.2.0 as well.

Cheers
Roger

Also tried this on 5.2.0 on DNN 6.0.1 with a link back to Home. Seemed to work.

See if you can provide more details, like is it a child portal or anything like that.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

The Events module is currently on a child portal.

I tried setting it to Home but it links to the Portal0 Home page which suggests it's looking for pages there and not on the child portal.

Sorry, my client won't let me provide a link to the site but here is the error message if it helps (there is no corresponding error in the event viewer) :

An error has occurred.
