Ken, I've reopened the issue as the user means the inline editor for the html module and not the inline editor for module titles (it's 2 different pieces of code)

Hi all-

I don't mean to revive an old thread, but has there been any progress on this issue? Like the original poster, I have the Inline Text Editor option enabled in my website administrative settings, but it is still not working. If it is not already, it would be great if this issue could be placed on a bug list somewhere so that it can be addressed in the next update.

Thanks,
Phil

its known to be broken (at least in the 6.x branch) and we will be working on a solution for it as part of 7.0 (which will have various usability enhancements)

Argh - v7? that's a long wait for something that is broken, and was actually a much used feature of v5 for us.

Since the move to v6 with the inline editor broken, I'm getting a lots of complaints from editors about the hassle of editing things that were super fast to do with the inline editor. Eg module titles - having to go into the pop-up just for a couple of words, and simple text module edits (eg fixing a typo).

Here's hoping the Q4 release of v7 doesn't slip.... between the bugs in the CK Editor and losing the inline edit, the v6 upgrade hasn't been at all popular with the editing users (although I will temper that by saying DNN is still a damn fine product).
