I'm using DNN6.  I would like to have a page named "Privacy" in my menu that would take me to the generated privacy page.  If I named the page "Privacy" and set it to redirect to the URL www.sitename.com/Privacy.aspx my browser (Firefox) gives me an error that it is not redirecting properly.  How do I keep a menu item named "Privacy" and still be able to redirect to the privacy information?

Could I possibly rename the reference to the Privacy control to something like PrivacyUsage.ascx and just keep my page title as "Privacy"?  Would that work?  What steps would I need to change all the references correctly?

I'd rather not change privacy to become the child of a hidden menu item and redirect from there because

a)my menu is set to only show root items
b)I'm using a sitemap display and that would display incorrectly

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

im afraid there are hardcoded rules for a few key pages (privacy/terms/register) in the url rewriting module to do a redirect if they're the final part of the path e.g. mysite.com/privacy.aspx. You would have to use an alternative friendly url provider or write your own (or tweak Library\HttpModules\UrlRewrite\UrlRewriteModule.vb and remove the hardcoded rewrites yourself)
