We have been working for a couple of years on a robust EMR platform for DNN. We are looking for the support from the community as we release this as open source. We have completed a good deal of development that is not in our current release on CodePlex  - which doesn't install very well anyway - but need some support in finishing a source code build for release.

If you are interested in helping us complete the build please contact me. Once we get this source released we feel that the community will be very interested in supporting the on-going open source project. Meaningful Use is exploding the need for cost effective, easy to use, easy to implement EMR's and our solution fills that gap. We are close being certified, but again, need support in creating a new release.

Thanks!

EMR is jargon that means nothing to me.

Neither does Meaningful Use.

Hi Richard,

EMR stands for Electronic Medical Record used by doctors to chart and manage patients.

Meaningful Use is a Medicare and Medicaid EHR (Electronic Health Record)  Incentive Programs that provides incentive payments to eligible professionals, eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs) as they adopt, implement, upgrade or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Eligible professionals, ie Doctors, can receive anywhere from 44k - 64k in incentive funds to install and use a certified EMR.

There are very few open source EMR's on the market with OpenEMR being the largest and only certified solution. The market is ripe for more robust and .Net based solutions in the open source space.

As I see that you are in the UK, there is a strong market available there as well. Actually, the adoption and usage of electronic medical records is an world-wide issue. Thus making a solution built on DNN an excellent option for world-wide distribution.

I hope this helps.

Clint
