Hi,

I'm planning transfers over several DNN installs from a 2003 server to a 2008R2 server with IIS7
Exploring the posibilities of Plesk 10 I've read a lot about permission issues when installing DNN within the plesk configuration.
I've tested several scanrio's an this one looks to be working oke:

- I add a customer, subscription etc in plesk
- after plesk has done it's thing i place a copy of a DNN site in the httpdocs folder
- I give rights to the network service in the httpdocs folder
-I add a new application pool for the site and let it act as networkservice identity and let the new site use it
- after restoring the SQL database everythings works oke

Is this the right thing to do, or am I gettting into trouble later on?

the second scenario is to let Plesk do its thing and add DNN sites outside the Plesk control. This also works fine, but the auto mapping of FTP to user account home folder give me trouble because the DNN root is not in the same dir as plesk. I thought about adding a second IP to the server and use it as a second ftp server so I can use the automapping tot localuser folders, but I'm not sure this wil work.

Thx!
