Ok first of all tell me if this is even right.....there is an existing module that I want to modify....after uploading the module i then dropped the source code over on top of the existing module.......then I modified the source code from within my Visual Web Developer environment....set a few breakpoints and then ran the program......the build completes but everytime i get these messages for every breakpoint 'the breakpoint will not be currently hit.' 'no symbols were loaded' ....and i never get to my breakpoints...

can someone help me here......i know im just fumbling through this, so maybe someone could explain what im doing wrong

what is the proper way to modify source code for modules and then compile that module into .dlls like there is in the installition .zip of the module

please notice: all modules from www.dotnetnuke.com and most of the 3rd party modules are developed for DNN3 (running in DNN4) on ASP.Net 1.1 with VS2003. You will need to upgrade the module source to ASP.Net 2 and delete the module.dll, before you can make changes. AFAIK, there will be some advice on upgrading DNN3 modules published soon.
