Hello,

I'm trying to install DNN 5.4.4 onto Windows 7 Ultimate, IIS 7.5 and SQL Server 2008 R2 (all service packs and updates installed).

When I navigate to http://localhost/DNN_540 the error shown below is displayed.

Tried everything I can and everything I've found while researching this error and still no go.
I've installed DNN many many times and have normally been able to solves issues but now I'm stumped.

Some flag or permission setting on the physical folder or in IIS 7.5 is blocking this and I cannot see where/what needs to be changed!

Please advise if you may.

OK, so I ran this command:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe unlock config -section:system.webServer/handlers
then
%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe unlock config -section:system.webServer/modules

that got rid of the first error.

Now getting this:

You do not have permission to view this directory or page because of the access control list (ACL) configuration or encryption settings for this resource on the Web server.

Will post an update once I get this cleared...

OK,

Now I've added the Authenticated Users to the physical dir. and the default.aspx to the Default Document list...

Now getting this:

The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.

Still struggling...

Further to this:

The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.

There's this data:

Module StaticFileModule
Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler StaticFile
Error Code 0x80070032
Requested URL http://localhost:80/DNN_540/Default.aspx
Physical Path C:\DNN_540\Default.aspx
Logon Method Anonymous
Logon User Anonymous

Any suggestions?
Why won't it run/display Default.aspx?

Anyone?

Based in finding on the web, apparently this issue has something to do with Application Pools.

Particularly DefaultAppPool and its settings.

To re-state the set up here:
Windows 7 Ultimate, IIS7.5, DNN 5.4.4, SQLServer 2008 R2

DefaultAppPool:
.Net version: 2.0, 32-bit apps enabled, Managed Pipeline Mode is Integrated, Identity is ApplicationPoolIdentity, Load User Profile set to True.

I have tried targeting .Net 4.0, Managed Pipeline Mode as Classic

I've also tried a DNN 6.0.2 install (different folder, IIS app, db etc),  followed all setup procedures and have run into the same issue(s) so, if I solve one, I assume (hope) I'll solve both.

Still can't run the DNN installation(s)...

ANY help here?
Please!
