Hi. I'm new to DNN (and relatively new to web development in general), so please forgive me if this question is stupid...

How do I force a logout manually in an html module without changing the page or using ?ctl=logoff.aspx?

I have taken over a DNN site with 2 different types of logins. One login is for internal users (content editing, etc) and the second login is for customers to get customer information, which only gives access to a small section of the website. I strongly suspect the customer login section should have been set up as a child portal, but apparently the architect vetoed that idea...

It's currently set up so that logging out goes to the home page, but the business wants the logout for cutsomers to go to a specific "Thank you for logging in" page. I set up the skin so that internal users use the ?ctl=logoff.aspx redirect and customer users go to the "thank you for logging in" page, but I need that page to actually log the user out...

(Or if there is a better solution, I'd be very happy to hear it)

Please help!

theres no way to do it within the html module except to provide the link (note; you can also use mysite.com/logoff.aspx). Please note, you can of course do this via code - in which case you could share a single page and determine what to do based on the user type (typically you do this via a custom authentication provider so you dont have to alter core code on the logoff function - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Authentication_Providers.aspx)
