Hans, can you tell me how you like Hosting DNN with Network Solutions and if you ever have any issues with them? We curently have our domain with them, and I may have to use their hosting so the transition is a bit easier. I've been talking to them today about DNN and their hosting, and they do not seem very knowledgable. I've been on hold for a couple of minutes waiting to hear what's the version of DNN they are currently installing. Let me know if you don't mind.

Thanks.

Jackie,

It was my original post outlining the problems with Network Solutions and DNN.  Hans gave me some hope, and I persisted with N.S. and did achieve some of what I was wanting.

Network Solutions right now only installs DNN 5.6.2 - No 6.0, and they won't even discuss it.  I found out the hard way that their support is very light on knowledge regarding DNN.

There is a script that you must run yourself.  Don't even ask support to do anything regarding DNN, unless you need to delete your SQL database.  They must do that.

So, log into your Network Solutions account manager page.  Select "Hosting Packages".  Then select "Site Enhancements".  Then select "Open Source Applications".

There you will see a list of applications that you can install, DNN 5.6.2 being one.  You can install it yourself right there.

Hope this helps.
