When I'm viewing my website in IE8, the items in my menu bar become messed up. The width of each item seem to correspond to the text length, which breaks off the entire menu like this:

We're experiencing the same issue in IE7. Does anyone have a fix...? Thanks!

As a temporary workaround, I have set the subLevel menu width to fixed pixel from auto in the StandardMenu.css file:

#dnnMenu .subLevel{display:none;position:absolute;width:200px;margin:0;padding:0;z-index:1210;}

#dnnMenu .subLevelRight{display:none;position:absolute;left:100%;top:-6px;width:200px;margin:0 0 0 -3px;}

This is a temporary fix though because if a page is created with a name longer than can fit in 200px, it hangs over the end of the menu image.  The css would have to be corrected again.  Ugly fix - someone let me know if you have a more dynamic fix...

Thanks!

I have found that this works:

In StandardMenu.css, change

#dnnMenu .subLevel li {float:none;clear:both;width:auto;}

But my problem is that if the submenu is activated, and work my way down the list with the mouse and pause for a second (while still over the submenu) where there is content behind, the hovered submenu will go away unprovoked.

If anyone gets the original problem solved by using my solution, please post here because I would like to know if the same side effect occurs.  Thanks.

That seems to fix the width problem but I do have the same problem you describe with content behind the menu.  Unfortunately, also when I tried this fix, white space (padding?) appears between each item in the menu...
