I'm rather new to DNN and I'm working on a custom module.  I need to be able to pull the Email address from the User Profile and also to update a custom field that I have added.  Thus far my code is not throwing any errors for either of these attempts but it also isn't doing what I'd like it to do. I'm developing on a DNN 5.0 platform.

This is the code I'm using for pulling the email address entered by the user when they registered on the site:

RegistrationEmailAddress = UserInfo.Profile.GetPropertyValue("Email")

The code does not return any value.

The other problem I'm having is with updating a custom profile field that I added.  I'll call the field 'CustomProfileField'.  It is defined as an integer. The variable with the new value in it is called 'NewValue' This is the code that I'm using to try to update the value in the field:

        Dim objUser As UserInfo = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo()
        objUser.Profile.SetProfileProperty("CustomProfileField", NewValue)
        UserController.UpdateUser(PortalId, objUser)

I have included:
Imports DotNetNuke.Entities.Profile
at the top of my code behind page.

I would greatly appreciate any help getting me pointed in the right direction.
