I'm in the process of setting up a new production server (IIS 7.0 versus 6.0). I've copied over all the existing code and created a new alias for this second server. When I go to the site using
http://servername/default.aspx -- it loads fine

when I got to the site
http://servername
The home page comes up with the appropriate skin but throws and object reference error and all the modules are blank.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Stumbled onto a post over at the InfinityURL site. Change the URLRewrite module
<add name="UrlRewrite" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.FriendlyUrl.UrlRewriteModule, iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider" />

to

<add name="UrlRewrite" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.FriendlyUrl.UrlRewriteModule, iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider" preCondition="managedHandler" />
