Hi,

I have a DNN3.2.2 module using ajax to call back to the server to complete a business task such as creating a new user. The function i call, needs to access localized content such as a welcome email message.

When I call

DotNetNuke.Services.Localization.Localization.GetSystemMessage(PortalSettings, "EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_SUBJECT")

I get an exception as the GetSystemMessage function in \components\Localization\Localization.vb on line 935 is passed in a objPortal object, but it does not pass it onto the GetString function on line 937. If i make this change, everything works fine - just wondering if its a problem in the core?

p.s. I'm using DNN 3.2.2 but comment indicate it hasn't changed since 2004

I'm having a problem using AJAX and accessing localized text also. I too am working on a user editor, but am using 4.3.1.

If I do not use AJAX, I get label text from the propertyeditorcontrol, but when served through AJAX, I get nothing for text in my labels. Not sure if this seems similar to your problem, but the AJAX and localization together may be throwing a wrench into our gears.
