Is there a way to let all users post events or do they have to be part of a Role?

Hi Scott,

Since only authenticated users are formally supported in adding events, just give the Edit Events permissions to the Registered Users role.

Cheers
Roger

Real stupid question, but where do we do "give the Edit Events permissions to the Registered Users role." Is it in the Events module or in the User settings?

Hi Craig,

It's done in the module settings the same way you would normally permission a module. Go to your action menu at top left of the module and select 'Settings'. Not to be confused with 'Edit Settings' which goes into the detailed config the the event settings. Slightly confusing I know.

Cheers
Roger

I'm a rookie at DNN, so again, forgive the ignorant question, but I'm not sure which permissions I need to check.  I have these permissions in my event module Settings:

  • View module
  • Edit Module
  • Edit Settings
  • Events Moderator
  • Global Category Editor
  • Global Location Editor

So which of these do I need to give the green check to to enable the users to post an event?
