Hello, is there a way to know the details page URL of the Portal and edit for an EventInfo that I have on a control that will be put on the skin.
It get a litlle ticky also due to the multilanguage support of the portal.

Thank you!

The detail page url uses the EventId of the event. EventId is an internal field derived from the database, so the url is not created from anything a user has entered and therefore may be derived easily.

If you are writing a control, can you get it to query the Events table in the database?

Cheers

Hi Roger,
In my control I've got a collection of eventInfo objects queried from the DB.
I've all their EventID, but what I'm needing at the moment is a way to get the link to detail page without having to build it in a string with string.fomat to put the moduleId an eventId on their place in the URL.

Can't something like DotNetNuke.Module.Events.EventDetails.ViewEvent(Event.EventId) be done?

Thanks a lot!

Yes it should be possible to do that. I'm not in front of my development machine, so can't look at the code, but you could always have a look at our CodePlex site and you should be able to find it from there. It's something like 'GetDetailURL'. from somewhere in EventControler I think.

Cheers
Roger

Hi there, Roger
While in my for each cycle the EventController doesn't give me the URL for each of my EventInfo on the collection.

Can it be on one of the other objects of the DotNetNuke.Modules.Events? I've been trying to find it.
My bottom solution it to hardcode the URL and leave the moduleId and ItemId to be editable.

Thanks a lot!
