Hello,

I've started playing with the mobile redirect stuff in 6.1 - it looks cool - thanks guys!

I've seen some of the blog discussions on making a separate site optimized for mobile users, and i think that does make sense, but I want to make sure I set it up in the best way initially in DNN.

So, first off, to use a separate site, is it best here to do a child portal called "Mobile" or something? If I do a child portal, with the redirect settings, do I need to use the "URL" target option to redirect specific pages and then pretend it is directing to a different site? Would this mean that the redirects look like an ordered list like this:
  1. Redirect (page 1) on parent to (mobile page 1) on child
  2. Redirect (page 2) on parent to (mobile page 2) on child (etc.)
  3. Redirect (Home page and children) on parent to (child portal)
Next, if I do this, what do redirects look like on the mobile site? Or, is that not really an issue? What I mean by this is do I have a thing on (mobile page 1) that directs to (page 1)?

Thanks - just wanted to talk some of this out in practice.

Mike

Now that 6.1 is out, I thought I'd try giving this a bump... Anybody have a thought on the best way to setup your mobile site given the new functions?
