Hi,<br /> <br /> I'm sure that this has been spotted before, but I can't seem to find the right search terms.<br /> <br /> Basically, I'm using a DNN 6.00.02 installation, with a Form and List 5.1.3 extension. I have some pages that require specific combinations of HTML and Form and List modules, and I thought that the Page -> Export and Page -> Import functions would be ideal.<br /> <br /> My basic problem is that some of my Form and List modules (which I am using as menus and slideshows) are configured as "Display on All pages", but the "Import" process actually creates a brand new copy of the original module which has the "Display on All Pages" set on itself.<br /> <br /> Obviously this leads to menus going out of sync, and two of each module on a newly created page - if I Import another template, I would end up with three different modules etc.<br /> <br /> Clearly either I'm doing something wrong, or this has never been thought through correctly.<br /> <br /> Can somebody suggest what I may be doing wrong?<br /> <br /> And if it's the case that this doesn't work, I would suggest that the import process should work as follows: - a module with <alltabs>true</alltabs> is either generated as an instance of the original module and the templated config data for the module is ignored, or in the absence of the original module, assume that it has been removed, and don't import it at all.<br /> <br /> Thanks for any help that you can give me.<br /> <br /> Mark

Just ran into this same issue myself yesterday. I created a template after I put a few modules on pages that are set to show on all pages. When creating a new page, those modules are shown twice.

This is from a DNN 6.0 install with upgrade to 6.0.2. Template was created on 6.0

I had the same issue before

What I did was edit the xml of the exported pages to set the affected modules to not display on all pages and you can import them normally again

Hi Armand,

That would stop duplicates being generated on fresh pages (that were not imported), however it still creates a duplicate of the module not an instance.

In my case, where I am using Form And List to create a menu (rather than deriving menu items from site structure), what you get is a menu that looks right, but becomes out of sync with the original menus.
